ESMO-Women-for-Oncology-1000X250-Observatory

Our drive to redress the gender imbalance that exists in oncology is international.

The first step is to build awareness of this imbalance. We do this by conducting research into gender gap in career development, monitoring the progression of female oncologists into positions of leadership, and disseminating our findings across countries and regions.

We draw upon the knowledge and skills of women and men operating in oncology to rebalance the representation of women in the field.

Monitoring Studies

ESMO W4O monitoring studies observe the evolution of the representation of female oncologists in prominent positions in different areas.

COVID-19 and Gender

In June 2020 ESMO W4O undertook a survey to assess the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns on gender inequalities.
