Acknowledgements: Rationalizing Bureaucracy

In this section, ECRO wishes to acknowledge the merits of those entities (i.e. CROs, sponsors, IRBs, clinical research teams, regulatory authorities, etc) who succeed in reviewing and simplifying procedures without compromising - or even improving - the quality of clinical research procedures and consequently, the well-being of patients.

European Urology becomes, to our knowledge, the first journal to allow for initial submissions entry of only ONE author's details and without a specific article formatting, but rather a broad scientific format. Specific formatting and full details from all authors will only be required if the article is selected for further evaluation. Undoubtedly, an example of respect for the time of investigators that should be followed by all journals. For ECRO, it is stimulating to inaugurate this section with an initiative coming from the academic side.
