Yes, ESMO members with membership fee paid and who were already a member as of 1 January 2022 as well as potentially eligible voting members will receive communications about the elections. Members who are not eligible to vote receive the communications to ensure they are informed about the elections. Art. 17 para. 2 of the Bylaws provides for a general minimum participation quorum of 10 percent. This participation quorum is calculated based on the number of votes (including abstentions) received between the opening and closing date of the voting period as a percentage of the number of Full Members eligible to vote. If the minimum participation quorum of 10 percent is not met by the closing date of the voting period, the President will inform the members accordingly, and no later than five calendar days after the closing date. The President will simultaneously call the eligible Full Members who have not yet cast their vote to do so by the closing date of an extended voting period of ten calendar days. In this case, the minimum participation shall no longer apply.

Only Full Members who were eligible to vote at some point during the initial voting period (i.e. were a member as of 1 January 2022 and whose membership rights are not suspended due to non-payment of the membership fee) and who have not yet cast their vote, will be eligible to vote during the extended voting period, provided they are not suspended at the time they want to cast their vote during the extended voting period.

All votes from the initial voting period are counted, members who already cast their vote cannot enter the voting system again.

The Candidates who receive the largest number of votes for each of the four positions of the Executive Board will be appointed. Should the votes result in a tie, the President shall have the casting vote.
