Marie-Christine Hollerith

Marie-Christine Hollerith

Patvocates GmbH

Marie-Christine Hollerith studied Communication Sciences at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU, Mag. Artium, Depart. of Communication and Media Research) in Munich. Focussing on Health Communication, she wrote her Master Thesis about the Communication Behaviour of Cancer Patients – a scientific study that had been supported by the Hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.

After a Trainee at GlaxoSmithKline and a correspondence course as Medical Representative (IHK), Marie-Christine Hollerith started a scientific project on the Improvement of Informed Consent in Clinical Trials. In close cooperation with Jan Geissler (Patvocates / Leukämie-Online) and the University of Passau she developed an optimized, patient-friendly Informed Consent Document that meets both legal and ethical requirements but is also based on internationally accepted guidelines on verbal and visual presentation of information.

Besides her scientific engagement, Marie-Christine Hollerith graduated as Media Designer and is working as a freelancer in the health care sector with focus on patient insights. Together with Jan Geissler she designed and realized the Awareness Campaign on CML – “Manchmal ein Kunststück”, worked as Communication Manager for EUPATI (European Patients Academy on Therapeutic Innovation) and supported several graphic / communication projects for CML Advocates and Leukanet e.V.
