Dr Antonio Rossi is a medical oncologist at the Division of Medical Oncology of the S.G. Moscati Hospital of Avellino, Italy, where he has been working since February 2002. He received his medical degree, summa cum laude, from the Medical School of the “Federico II” University of Naples in October 1991. He became board certified in Medical Oncology, summa cum laude, in October 1997 at the Medical School of the “Federico II” University of Naples. From April 1998 to February 2002 he was a medical oncologist at the Division of Medical Oncology of the San Carlo Hospital of Potenza, Italy.
Dr Rossi is a member of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM), the Italian Association of Thoracic Oncology (AIOT), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). He has been involved in the development and publication of treatment guidelines related to lung cancer for AIOT and AIOM.
Dr Rossi has published over 150 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Annals of Oncology. He is directly involved in the clinical research and drug development of non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. He has provided presentations on lung cancer management around Italy and abroad.
