Observer fellowship at the Institut Jules Bordet, Brussels, Belgium

The observation programme is to provide additional experience in palliative care training at the centre and to highlight some of the pitfalls and challenges that are faced on a day-to-day level. The intention of the fellowship is to spread knowledge and best practice around the world, enabling the introduction of some of the techniques gained at the home institute.

Observer fellowship at St. Luke's Cancer Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guilford, Surrey, United Kingdom

The project is to check the reasons that can lead to the delay in the presentation of pancreatic cancer patients to palliative care in two different palliative care centres on both sides of the Mediterranean and to compare the effect of early presentation on the palliative care outcome in both centres based on a reliable prognostic indicators including fatigue and pain.
