Anadolu Medical Centre was established in February 2005 to provide our patients better health services. The vision is to become the designer of a new approach to a healthy life practice and be the forerunner in this area.

The center is located on 42 acres (171120 m2). A multi-purpose hospital is built on 45,000 m2 fully equipped in world standards, with a bed capacity of 209. Our center has also been accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International) in 2007 and Planetree Gold Certification on Person Centered Care in 2018. Our inpatient palliative care unit was officially opened in November 2006, as a part of our department of oncology.

Palliative and Supportive Care

The Palliative Care Unit has 29 staff members in total. These are; 1 director, 1 consultant, 5 oncologists, 1 internal medicine, 1 psychiatrist, 1 algologist, 1 psychologist, 1 dietitian, 2 family physicians and 15 nurses. In our Palliative Care Unit, there are 18 beds.

In this unit, we provide symptom stabilisation to all our patients in their end-of-life. By saying symptom stabilization, we mean following: relief of pain, nutritional, psychological and psychiatric problems, respiratory distress, and acute medical problems. Our psychologist also supports the patient's family and children.

After symptom stabilization, if home care is possible, patients are discharged. At present our home care programme is using the contracted services of an established home care agency (also the only one of its kind in our area) until we can develop our own home care services. We supplement the care they provide by follow-up calls, open access for patients to reach staff, frequent patient reports from the home health agency to us, and visits to the outpatient clinic when the patient is able. If at any time we can't manage at home, the present system of our hospital allows for unrestricted and prompt inpatient admission of any patient for almost any reason. Also if subsequent home care is likely to be unsatisfactory, the patient can remain inpatient almost indefinitely.

At the end of their life, all the religious facilities are provided by our hospital. In addition to the above, the facilities of our hospital are as follows: market, hairdresser, cafeteria, pharmacy, car parking and heliport.
