R. Vidra, MD, PhD, consultant at Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology “Prof. Dr. Octavian Fodor”, graduated from University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu” Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2002. Since early of his career was focused on breast cancer research and, recently he is focused in gastrointestinal cancers.

Currently, he is senior medical oncologist at Oncology Department from Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology “Prof. Dr. Octavian Fodor” Cluj-Napoca, and he is investigator in several clinical trials in this field.

He is member of European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), former member in Young Oncologist Committee and, currently, with active role as Chair of the ESMO-Practising Oncologist Working Group.
