Dr Lissandra Dal Lago is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Head of Geriatric Oncology Unit at the Institut Jules Bordet in Brussels, Belgium. She is specialized in the treatment of older patients with breast cancer. She graduated from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil in 1995 and completed her specialist Medical Oncology training in Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre in 2000. She was clinical and research fellow in Breast Cancer at Jules Bordet Institute from 2003 to 2006. She obtained her Master and PhD degrees at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in 2002 and 2006. She worked as clinical research physician of the EORTC Breast Cancer Group from 2009 to 2011. She’s an active member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG), EORTC Breast Cancer Group and Chair of EORTC Elderly Taskforce.
