Carmen Criscitiello, MD PhD, is an ESMO member. She is assistant professor at the University of Milan and scientist and senior physician appointed with High Specialty in Immunotherapy at the Division of Early Drug Development at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. She is a clinician and researcher specialising in early drug development for patients with solid tumours, with a special commitment on breast cancer. She is an ESMO Breast Cancer Faculty member since 2017 and served as member of the Scientific Committee for metastatic breast cancer at the 2014 ESMO Annual Congress.

Dr. Criscitiello attended the 2016 ESMO Leaders Generation Programme. She is Associate Editor for the ESMO Congress Newspaper and is member of the Editorial Board of ESMO Open - Cancer Horizons since January 2018.

Dr Criscitiello serves ESMO as Deputy Chair of the Leadership Generation Task Force and is a member of the ESMO Press & Media Affairs Committee since 2018.

She has contributed to over 110 peer-reviewed publications.
