Jonathan Ledermann is a Professor of Medical Oncology and Clinical Director at UCL Cancer Institute, University College London, and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at UCL Hospitals, London, UK where he has worked for more than 30 years, specialising in the treatment of gynaecological cancers. He has led several national and international trials in ovarian cancer, and he was the Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre for over two decades.

He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and a Senior Investigator for the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). He is the subject Editor for ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) Gynaecological Cancer Practice Guidelines.

He was previously Vice President of ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology), chair of the NCRI UK Gynaecological Cancer Trials Group and chair of the Rare Tumour Group of the Gynaecological Cancer Intergroup.
