Travelling to Lugano

The Convention Centre is located in Lugano, just next to the lake and the city centre.

It can be easily reached in 10 minutes from Lugano SBB main train station:

  • by bus: take line 2 direction Castagnola and stop at the “Palazzo dei Congressi” station.
  • by funicular / walk: it is possible to take the funicular from the station to the city centre and walk 10 minutes.

From Milano Malpensa Airport

The nearest international airport is Milano Malpensa (Italy), located only 70 km away from Lugano.

  • Train: the central station of Lugano can be easily reached by train directly from Malpensa airport, by taking the train “S 50” direction Biasca which runs every hour. Approx. cost: 25 Swiss francs one way. Timetable available here.
  • Transfer by car: it is also possible to book private transfers by car, which is convenient in particular if you are travelling with colleagues. More details will be available soon.
From Zürich Airport

Zürich international Airport is well connected by train to Lugano central station, the journey last 2h 15 and brings you through the beautiful Swiss Alps. If you decide to fly with the company airline Swiss, it is possible to buy a ticket that includes both the flight and the train to Lugano main station.  When booking the flight please use the code “QDL” for Lugano train station (instead of ZRH Zurich Airport).
