Recurrence Risk in Early Breast Cancer: Optimal Assessment, Communication and Shared decision-making for Patients and Physicians 2023
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in ESMO webinar on recurrence risk in early breast cancer that will cover an assessment for the risk of recurrence, communication, and shared decision-making processes.
This webinar is developed with the aim to provide expert insights on the clinicopathologic and molecular prognosticator tools available to date for the assessment of recurrence risk in patients with early breast cancer, discuss the principles of optimal physician-patient communications on recurrence risk and explain the treatment strategies, and to enrich experiences on communications with patients to support shared decision.
I am delighted to announce the distinguished speakers who will join me in this webinar. We will begin with a lecture on assessment of recurrence risk in early breast cancer by elaborating clinicopathologic and molecular prognosticators. This will be followed with advises for communicating breast cancer recurrence risk to patients and how to optimally navigate the facts, feature what is unknown and some perceptions. Finally, illustrative case studies will be discussed with providing practical tips and tricks on patient-physician shared decision-making and providing patient support, especially in terms of higher and lower risk clinical features, discordant clinical and molecular risk, and hereditary predisposition.
The programme is designed to provide an overview of the current evidence, offer expert insights, elaborate available assessment tools, and offer speakers interaction with audience to enhance optimal physician-patient communication in this field. I strongly encourage and invite you to register and join us all in this ESMO activity.
