On 26-27 November 2010 ESMO hosted its first ever Cancer Biology for Clinicians Symposium in Nice, France. Symposium participants benefited from a first class programme, expert speakers and direct interaction with audience ideal for networking.
The objective of this top level, niche educational meeting designed for medical, radiation, surgical oncologists and clinical professionals, was to increase fundamental understanding of cancer biology, including malignant transformation, invasion and metaseses and provide an overview of how cancer biology is used to develop molecularly targeted therapies for cancer treatment.
“This ESMO-Symposium allowed bed-side oriented oncologists to grasp key and timely-issues related to cancer biology. All presentations had a clear focus towards potential clinical implications thus helping clinicians fully comprehend the major consequences that new developments in cancer biology may have in daily care”
