Dr Robert Glynne-Jones is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Mount Vernon Hospital, in London. He has a major interest in gastrointestinal and colorectal cancer and has been Principle Investigator of studies in rectal and anal cancer. He is a member of ESTRO, the EORTC, ESMO and ASCO. Dr Glynne-Jones has participated in ESMO guidelines/consensus statements for colorectal and rectal and anal cancer. In 2018 he received an ESTRO Lifetime Achievement Award. He has been a member of NICE committees responsible for guidance for colorectal cancer and for producing quality standards for colorectal cancer, and recommendations for blanket testing for Lynch syndrome/ mismatch repair. He has been a Chief Medical advisor of the national UK charity Bowel Cancer UK since 2003.He has a major interest in communication skills and patient choice.
