European Cancer Congress: About the Meeting

The European Cancer Congress 2013: The largest platform for practice-changing data in Europe

The European Society for Medical Oncology, ECCO, ESTRO, ESSO, EACR, EONS and SIOPE, have joined together once again to form a powerful combination of seven senior organisations endorsing multidisciplinarity as the way forward to best improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients.

The renowned biennial series of multidisciplinary European Cancer Congresses are recognised as the premier cancer meetings in Europe. At Stockholm in 2011, 15 931 participants from all disciplines experienced the strongest and most forward-focused scientific programme to date.

Based on previous record numbers of abstract submissions, the Congress will play a pivotal role in establishing standards for the future in Europe, and beyond. Held from 27 September to 1 October, the renowned quality of the Scientific Programme at the ECC 2013 will offer breakthrough advances and insight in scientific and clinical research, patient management and practice through an outstanding range of scientific and educational symposia, special sessions, teaching lectures, workshops, legendary ‘heated’ oxford style debates, and much more. A comprehensive, stimulating, rigorous and highly educational scientific experience, irrespective of participants’ roles or focus in oncology is guaranteed for all.
