Our centre ,MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute (MVRCCRI) is situated in the southernmost state of India,named Kerala. MVRCCRI is an initiative of Cancer and Allied Ailments Research (CARE) Foundation, a non-profitable charity organization formed by the Calicut City Service Co-operative Bank in 2011.MVRCCRI has been established to provide the most advanced cancer care at an affordable cost.This eco-friendly, tobacco-free project sprawls over 6 lakh square feet of thoughtfully laid out space in a 17-acre green campus. Our vission is to be amongst the global leaders in cancer care & research. Our mission is to consistently deliver cancer care pioneering new industrial standards & benchmarks in quality. MVRCCRI is a 300-bedded hospital with more than thirty cancer-related departments to provide comphrehensive cancer care.We have dedicated multidisciplinary team who provides healthcare services in the field of all common, rare solid cancers, pediatric cancers as well as screening programs. Our centre have advanced machines including the LINAC , PET/CT scan machines, advanced ultrasound scanning machine, digital mammography with tomosynthesis etc. The hospital employs molecular diagnostics to ensure the most advanced treatments. Our centre is recognized as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.In addition to a team of the best research minds in the country, the hospital has also entered into tie-ups with international research institutes to adopt the latest developments. We recognize that treating cancer is not just about treating the disease but about providing wider support and care to a patient and the family throughout their cancer journey.The basis of care is Goal directed therapy with continuum of care.It is aimed at benefiting the patients, right from diagnosis of cancer through their difficult journey through the different phases of the diseases including the end of life phase. Palliative and Supportive Care

Integrated Palliative Care Unit (IPCU) - As the name suggests our Palliative Care Department, is integrated with other oncological super- specialities like medical oncology,surgical oncology and radiational oncology to provide the best supportive care for patients and their families. IPCU team includes palliative care physician,pain physician,palliative care nurses etc.We have a great supporting group of psycho-oncologists, physiotherapists, nutritional oncologist, stoma care nurses etc. We provide a holistic approach to improve the quality of life of patients and their families throughout the course of patient's illness.Our service is offered as outdoor patient consultation, inpatient care and as consultative palliative care service in wards. The department helps in managing complex pain and physical symptoms, psychological, social and spiritual issues of patients and their families. The department helps patients with a terminal illness to have a peaceful, dignified end of life care experience and also provides bereavement care.
