History

KCCC provides integrated, professional cancer care for patients, their families and society including prevention, early detection, treatment, and palliative care. Research, training, and continuing education are integral to comprehensive health promotion and cancer care in Kuwait. The centre treats over 2000 new cancer patients each year from Kuwait and the region. It is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and services. There is also a focus on improving nursing and physician education, health administration and information technology.

The centre provides the full panel of oncological care including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiotherapy, haemato-oncology, bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, palliative care including pain management, nutrition support, physiotherapy, spiritual care and psycho-social support. We exert every effort to provide our patients with the best quality care whenever they need it.

Palliative and Supportive Care

We believe that availability of a high-quality palliative care service is the right of every cancer patient. The centre provides regular assessments for the need for all aspects of palliative care including pain management, nutrition large_front support, physiotherapy, spiritual care and psycho-social support. When those needs are identified, the palliative care team ensures the delivery of the best available services to patients. Multidisciplinary meeting are held for better decision making and to provide patients with the best treatment options.
