ESMO and the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (SBOC) signed a joint membership agreement in 2016. The aim of the agreement is to promote education and scientific initiatives to the Brazilian oncology community.
ESMO - SBOC Agreement
As of 1 December 2016, members of the SBOC will be able to benefit from a simplified membership application process to join ESMO, avoiding the need for a Sponsor (i.e. details of an ESMO member who supports your application) or the need to provide an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae in English.
ESMO members in Brazil benefit from an annual ESMO membership fee of €50 (online access to Annals of Oncology), due to Brazil being classified by the World Bank as an upper-middle income country, based on the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita and calculated using the World Bank Atlas method.
If you are already an ESMO and a SBOC member, please contact ESMO Membership Services who will update your profile with the information about your SBOC membership.
New ESMO member?
Applicants should follow the normal ESMO membership procedure, on reaching the section asking for membership to another professional oncology society, SBOC members should indicate they are a member of the SBOC by clicking on the society name.
