ESMO and the Federation of Romanian Cancer Societies signed a joint membership agreement in 2014. The aim of the agreement is to promote education and scientific initiatives within the Romanian oncology community.
ESMO - FRCS Agreement
Since November 2014, members of societies represented by the FRCS (including RSRMO and RSR) now benefit from a simplified membership application process to join ESMO, avoiding the need for a Sponsor (i.e. details of an ESMO member who supports your application) or the need to provide an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae in English.
ESMO members in Romanian who are medical doctors, can benefit from the annual ESMO membership fee of €50 (online access only to Annals of Oncology), due to Romania being classified by the World Bank as an upper-middle income country, based on the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita and calculated using the World Bank Atlas method.
If you are already an ESMO member and a member of a society represented by the FRCS, please contact ESMO Membership Services who will update your profile with the information about your membership with FRCS.
New ESMO member?
Applicants should follow the normal ESMO membership procedure, on reaching the section asking for membership to another professional oncology society, members of societies represented by the FRCS should indicate the society they are part of by clicking on the society name.
