ESMO – SBOC: Membership Agreement

ESMO and the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (SBOC) signed a joint membership agreement in 2016.  The aim of the agreement is to promote education and scientific initiatives to the Brazilian oncology community.

ESMO - SBOC Agreement

As of 1 December 2016, members of the SBOC will be able to benefit from a simplified membership application process to join ESMO, avoiding the need for a Sponsor (i.e. details of an ESMO member who supports your application) or the need to provide an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae in English.

ESMO members in Brazil benefit from an annual ESMO membership fee of €50 (online access to Annals of Oncology), due to Brazil being classified by the World Bank as an upper-middle income country, based on the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita and calculated using the World Bank Atlas method.

Additionally, SBOC members who are medical doctors (and ordinarily qualify for the €175 fee), wishing to receive the printed subscription to Annals of Oncology will benefit from a reduced annual ESMO membership fee of €130 - saving €45.

If you are already an ESMO and a SBOC member and wish to receive the printed subscription, please contact ESMO Membership Services who will update your profile in order for you to be able to benefit from the discounted fee at your next renewal.

New ESMO member?

Applicants should follow the normal ESMO membership procedure, on reaching the section asking for membership to another professional oncology society. SBOC members should indicate they are a member of the SBOC by clicking on the society name.

Applicants eligible for ESMO membership at the €175 wishing to receive the print subscription to Annals of Oncology will be proposed the reciprocal membership fee of €130 per annum (in addition to the reduced membership fee of €50).

Sign up today! (Remember to indicate that you are a member of the SBOC in your application)
