ESO – European School of Oncology
The European School of Oncology (ESO) was founded in 1982, with the aim of contributing to the reduction of deaths from cancer due to late diagnosis and/or inadequate treatment. After more than 39 years, ESO is the oldest and most structured organisation exclusively dedicated to increasing the knowledge of health professionals in all fields of cancer medicine, under the auspices of an international scientific committee and advisory board.

ESTRO – European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology
ESTRO, the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology, is a scientific non-profit organisation whose ambition is to further reinforce radiation oncology as a core partner in multidisciplinary cancer care and to guarantee accessible and high-value radiation therapy for all cancer patients who need it.
ESTRO’s mission is to promote education, science, research and advocate for access to radiotherapy. Therefore the Society organises throughout the year teaching courses, workshops, meetings, and public affairs activities and publishes scientific material in its family of journals.
The Society counts over 7,600 members in and outside Europe and supports all the radiation oncology professionals and the wider oncology community in their daily practice.

ESTS – European Society of Thoracic Surgeons
ESTS is the largest international general thoracic surgery organisation with more than 1600 members from all continents. The society’s mission is to improve quality in the specialty, from clinical and surgical management of patients to education, training and credentialing of thoracic surgeons worldwide.
The 28th European Conference on General Thoracic Surgery will be held in The Hague, The Netherlands, 31 May – 3 June 2020. The outstanding program includes lectures by international speakers, sessions in co-operation with international scientific societies, a multidisciplinary tumor board session, sunrise academy and hosts the Postgraduate Symposium with the Americas, Asia and Europe competing for the Masters Cup. The Symposium for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals provides a full day of specialised and research based nursing in an international perspective.
ETOP – European Thoracic Oncology Platform
ETOP is a not-for-profit organization promoting academic clinical research and exchange of ideas in the field of thoracic oncology. ETOP sponsors and manages translational research projects and clinical trials with an emphasis on advancing the knowledge in thoracic malignancies. ETOP works with more than 200 collaborative groups and institutions from all over the world.
IASLC – International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer
The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the only global network dedicated to the study and eradication of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. Since its founding in 1974, the association’s membership has grown to nearly 8,000 lung and thoracic cancer specialists from all disciplines and over 100 countries.
