The Northwest Hospital Group arose from a merger between the Alkmaar Medical Center and the Gemini Hospital in Den Helder. We have locations in Alkmaar, Den Helder, Schagen, Heerhugowaard, Texel and Limmen. The location Alkmaar is the center for trauma care for the region. At this location we also have an oncology center, a center for birth care, a cardiovascular center and a wide range of care around the musculoskeletal system. The Den Helder location is indispensable for basic acute (birth) care.
