History
Founded in 2006, Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC) is one of the largest and leading private cancer centres in Singapore. The centre provides comprehensive cancer services from cancer screening, cancer diagnosis, cancer treatment to palliative care. The centre operates within three of the largest well-known private acute tertiary hospitals – Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, all accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
Profile
Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC) provides personalised cancer care through specialised treatments delivered by a multi-disciplinary team. Ten medical oncologists, four radiation oncologists, four haematologists and one palliative medicine specialist, work closely with surgical oncologists, other medical and surgical specialists, radiologists, pathologists, oncology and palliative care nurses, allied health workers, counsellors, etc., to provide seamlessly co-ordinated cancer care under one roof.
Services include cancer screening, cancer diagnosis, and cancer treatment including:
- Outpatient and inpatient chemotherapy (including cytotoxic drugs, targeted therapy, cancer immunotherapy and hormonal therapy)
- High dose chemotherapy and stem cell rescue.
- Radiation therapy (including the IMRT, IGRT, 3D conformal RT, stereo-static RT, radio-surgery, brachytherapy and implants
The centre operates within Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, which are well known in the region. Together, they have more than 40 wards and more than 800 inpatient beds, which include two intensive care units of 45 beds, two major operating theatres with 24 operating rooms, and specialists of various medical and surgical disciplines. It has the latest radiological/imaging facilities including PET Scan, MRI and CT scan. The centre also has a palliative medicine clinic, dietician clinic and counselling service to support patients with cancer.

Palliative and Supportive Care
The palliative care service is led by a full-time specialist in palliative medicine with three palliative care nurses. The team is supported by a team of trained counsellors who journey with the cancer patients from the time of diagnosis and undergoing cancer treatment.
The service works closely with oncology specialists and provides palliative care services to patients in the hospital ward, in the outpatient clinic and continues to see patients in their own home when he or she is too weak to travel tothe hospital for follow up review. The service also links up with community-based hospice services.
Our palliative care services include cancer pain and symptom management, home and discharge planning, advance care planning and end-of-life care.
