General description

220 bed hospital comprising of a department of medical oncology, a second department of general internal medicine, a department of surgery, department of gynaecology and a department of anaesthesiology with an intensive care ward.


The first department of internal medicine and medical oncology of the St Josef Hospital covers the oncological demands of the Vinzenz Group in Vienna, which runs five different hospitals in Vienna with about 1000 beds. Medical oncology treatments are exclusively performed at the St Josef oncology department. The main focus is breast and colorectal cancer, but gynaecological as well and also urological cancers are treated as well on a regular basis.


The first department of internal medicine and medical oncology comprises of a ward with 29 beds, an oncology day care unit 10 treatment places, and an oncology ambulant care.
