Ulf Seifart, PD, MD, is specialised in internal medicine, haematology and oncology. He graduated from the University of Marburg in 1992 and started training in surgery and internal medicine at the Kurhessisches Diakonissenhaus Kassel (1992-1993). In 1994 he received the approbation and became fellow at the Department of internal medicine of the University of Marburg; the following year, he achieved the MD degree on a thesis on “Keratokonjunktivitis sicca in Diabetes mellitus”, and he was awarded the Dr. Mann-Sicca Research award.

Dr. Seifart is currently a Chief Physician at the Klinik Sonnenblick in Marburg, where he has been working since 2007, after a four-year experience at the Rehabilitationsklinik Bellevue in Salmünster, Hessen, Germany. In 2012 he obtained the habilitation with a research work on “Optimizing therapy an evaluation of genetic risk factors in SCLC” and in 2013 he gained an additional designation in Social Medicine.

Dr. Seifart has been a full member of ESMO since 2003; he is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and of the German Cancer Society. As of May 2011 he is the Treasurer of the Hessen Cancer Society and as of November 2013 he is a member of the advisory council of the German Society for Haematology and Medical Oncology.
