Panagiota Zygoura gained her Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, in 2013. During the Spring semester of 2013, she was a visiting student through the Erasmus programme at the Master of Science in Biostatistics at the University of Hasselt, Belgium. She then attended the Master of Science in Statistics at the Lancaster University, United Kingdom where she was awarded full funding from the National Institute for Health Research. She completed her master studies with distinction in 2015. As of 2018, she is a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics candidate at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.

She is currently working as a statistician at Frontier Science Foundation-Hellas (FSF-H). The main responsibilities of her current position include the design and statistical development of clinical studies related to cancer, oversight and statistical analysis of a number of multi-centre phase II/III clinical trials and/or associated translational biomarker research studies across an international portfolio. She has also been employed as a graduate statistician during 2014 to implement statistical methods in the context of a corporate project at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.

Mrs Zygoura is an experienced statistician with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry. She has experience on applied statistics and high-level statistical programming. She has been involved in several European research projects and published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include survival analysis, clinical trial design and adaptive trial design.
