Dr Lucy Yates is a Clinical Oncologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London, UK and is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, UK.

Her research interests include the genomic basis of and mutational processes shaping cancer evolution and intra-tumoural heterogeneity. She attained a PhD in the study of the Evolution of the Breast Cancer Genome from the University of Cambridge and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Cambridge, UK. During her PhD she won a Merit award for her research from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). She has published research articles in a number of high impact journals and has been an invited speaker and faculty member at a number of international cancer conferences including San Antonio and St Gallen Breast Cancer Conferences.

She has an interest in educating students and young oncologists and has worked with the Wellcome Trust public engagement team, presented several times at the IMPAKT breast cancer training course and contributed towards the ESMO OncologyPro website.
