Dr. Kalijn Bol is a medical oncologist in her last year of training at the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Afterwards, she will be appointed as medical oncologist focused on melanoma and translational research in the field of immunotherapy.
She studied medicine at the Radboud University and graduated in 2010. She did a PhD on dendritic-cell based immunotherapy in melanoma at the department of Tumour Immunology, Radboudumc which she completed in 2016 with the cum laude distinction. She alternated her research with her training in internal medicine at the Radboudumc and at the Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen. Recently, she did a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship on rare melanoma subtypes at the National Centre for Cancer Immune Therapy, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Kalijn Bol is a member of ESMO Faculty in Investigational Immunotherapy and an ESMO representative in the ESMO/ASCO Global Curriculum Working Group.
