ESMO 2017 Congress

"Translational research is paramount in driving novel and more effective therapeutic strategies against cancer. While we are collectively potentiating and rendering innovative treatment approaches more precise, we must continue to accelerate our efforts by closely connecting cancer researchers with medical oncologists.

The ESMO Congress Translational Research Track represents an important platform to do just that. Not only will our specially selected experts tackle the role and relevance of the tumour microenvironment, genomic instability in cancer and the development of increasingly powerful therapeutics; they will deliver the very latest insights into cancer evolution and metastatic spread and report on the latest discovery aimed at better deciphering the molecular complexity of inter‐ and intra‐tumour heterogeneity.

Our track will promote the vital cross‐talk between researchers and clinical colleagues, foster the timely exchange of insights from bench to bedside, provide ´finger on the pulse´ perspectives on current opportunities and challenges, as well as balance expectations with current realities."
