Dr Lebtahi has been head of the department of nuclear medicine in Beaujon Hospital, Clichy, France, since 2009. Beaujon Hospital is a ENETS centre of excellence. She is professor of nuclear medicine at University Paris 7, Denis-Diderot. She is also member of the basic science research group directed by Professor Valérie Paradis in Unit 1149 of the French Institute of Scientific Research (INSERM).

Prof Lebtahi’s main areas of interest are digestive neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). She has been involved in NETs research since 1993 and her main topics of research are diagnosis and therapeutic nuclear medicine modalities for patients with NETs. She is member of ENETS (European Neuroendocrine Tumours Society), GTE (French Group of neuroendocrine tumours) EANM (European Nuclear medicine Association) , and SNM (American Society of Nuclear Medicine).
