Olivier Mir, MD, PhD, MPH is a medical oncologist and clinical pharmacologist in Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute (Villejuif, France).

Dr. Mir trained as a medical oncologist and clinical pharmacologist at University Paris Descartes, and obtained the Silver medal (highest degree) from Paris Descartes Medical School in 2009.

Dr. Mir is currently member of the Sarcoma Group and head of the Supportive Care Group at Gustave Roussy.

He is an active member of the French Sarcoma Group (GSF-GETO), ESMO, ASCO and EORTC Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma Group.

His main research interests are: sarcoma/GIST, early drug development, and cancer care delivery.

He is also involved in translational research aspects related to precision medicine in sarcoma/GIST.

Dr. Mir has contributed to over 250 peer-reviewed medical publications.

He has been Associate Editor of ESMO Annals of Oncology Committee from 2014 to 2019, and is a member of ESMO Gender Medicine Task Force since 2019, and ESMO Faculty for Sarcoma since 2021.
