Nieves Martinez Chanza, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist currently working at the Oncology Medicine Department at Jules Bordet Cancer Institute, Brussels, Belgium, with special interest in Genitourinary Oncology.

Dr Martinez Chanza earned her Medical Degree at the University of Valencia, Spain, after having attended the 5th year of medicine at the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France as part of an international student programme. She completed her training as a Medical Oncologist at the General Universitary Hospital in Valencia, Spain. During her training, Dr Martinez Chanza joined the Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland. In 2017, Dr Martinez Chanza had the opportunity to join the Lank Center for Genitourinary Cancer in “Dana Farber Cancer Institute”, Boston, USA as a clinical fellow participating in some lines of investigation. In 2021, she achieved her PhD at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.

She has initiated and participated in several clinical trials from phase I/II to later phases and has authored and co-authored articles in national and international journals as well as abstracts in congresses. She is a member of national and international oncology societies.
