Dr Daniel Saunders is a radiation oncologist at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, specialising in radiotherapy for sarcoma and paediatric tumours.  He has a long-standing interest in Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity which stretches beyond his time working in the NHS. More recently he has led some work aiming to improve the care of LGBTQ+ patients with cancer, both at a local, regional and national level.  His work has been recognised in the UK by both the Health Service Journal, and GLADD (The LGBT Association of Doctors and Dentists) from whom he was proud to receive their David Harvey Award.
