Dr Bharti Devnani, MBBS, DNB is a Clinical Oncologist in the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. She holds a post-graduation in Radiotherapy from National Board of Examinations, India and is registered with National Medical Commission, India (erstwhile Medical Council of India). She is also a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. She has also passed the ESMO Examination in Oncology.
Her interest areas include Head and Neck Cancers, Breast Cancer, CNS tumors and rare cancers. She has special interest in advanced technologies in radiotherapy including SBRT. She has been trained in Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) for spinal tumors at MSKCC, New York under a fellowship programme of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India. She was also an ESMO-Clinical Unit Visit fellow at Humanitas Hospital, Milan, Italy where she was trained on SBRT in Gasto-Intestinal malignancies.
She has written several peer reviewed papers and book chapters and has presented her research at various international congresses including ASTRO, ESMO and ICC. She has received several awards including “Young Scientist International Travel Grant Award” of Indian Council of Medical Research, “International Conference grant” by Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology, and “Foreign Travel Grant” by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. She has been invited as faculty at Annual meetings of AROI, Oncology forum and Best of SABCS.
She is an active member of ESMO and participated in the first ESMO-Asia Leaders Generation programme (2019). She was also awarded Translational Research Unit Visit Fellowship at AKH, Vienna, Austria by ESMO. She is a collaborator of ESMO Resilience Task Force survey I and II assessing the impact of COVID-19 on oncology professionals. She has designed a survey in collaboration with ESMO Working Groups to better understand the social media practices and virtual meetings in the era of COVID-19. Dr Bharti is currently serving as a member of the ESMO Membership Committee (2021-2022).
