Zoi Tsourti gained her Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, in 1998. She then attended the Master of Science program in Statistics in Athens University of Economics and received her Master of Science degree in Statistics in 2000. In 2012, she earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.

She is currently working as a statistician at Frontier Science Foundation-Hellas (FSF-H). She has also been working as a statistician at the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food, Greece (2003-2013) and at Quantos SARL Company (2000-2003). She has also been employed as a researcher-analyst of Institute of Statistical Documentation, Analysis and Research, Athens University of Economics (1999-2000).

Dr. Tsourti has experience on both theoretical and applied statistics, she has been involved in several European research projects and published peer-reviewed articles. Her research interests include survival analysis, Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods and variance reduction techniques.
