Thomas Cerny MD is Chief Medical Oncology/Haematology at the Kantonsspital St. Gallen since 1998 and Professor for Medical Oncology at the University of Berne since 1995. He has be medically trained at the University of Bern, Inselspital and the Universi-ty of Manchester, Christie Hospital and Patterson Laboratories. His main research interests are in the field of new drug development, lymphoma and sarcoma as well as public health issues in oncology. Thomas Cerny is former president of the Swiss Cancer League (KLS) and acting president of the Swiss Cancer Foundation (KFS) and Oncosuisse (the national organisation for implementing the Swiss Cancer Strategy).
