Dr Sellar trained in clinical medicine in Edinburgh and Oxford before moving to University College London for specialist haematology training.

During this time he developed a subspecialty interest in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and completed a PhD investigating novel biomarkers and treatments in this disease. Having completed his training he is now a post-doctoral researcher at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Broad Institute of MIT/Harvard.
