Security and Safety

Like in all big cities, in Barcelona there is a moderate risk of minor crimes and traffic can be heavy. Make sure to follow some basic safety advice and calculate some buffer time to reach the congress centre from your hotel or any other location in the city.

  • Always remove your congress badge upon leaving the venue
  • Be vigilant in crowds, restaurants and on public transportation; watch out for people creating distractions and diversions
  • Be careful not to leave your luggage unattended in any public place, including the hotel and Congress venue; keep your personal belongings with you, both inside and outside the venue

In case of emergency, call 112 (when inside the venue refer to the security staff or the police desk).
