The 6th edition of the Young Oncologists Networking Evening attracted 200 young professionals from 36 different countries for an informal get-together in Madrid.

Burnout in Young Oncologists

Discover the details of the ESMO 2014 Congress proffered abstract presentation about the 2013 European-wide survey on burnout in young oncologists. The preliminary results of the survey was presented by YOC member Susana Banerjee who coordinated the survey project and analysed the close to 600 European replies received in collaboration with former YOC member David Olmos. The survey gained high interest and press coverage at the ESMO 2014 Congress in Madrid. Results have been published in an article in Annals of Oncology (April 2017)

Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer European Survey

In 2012, the Young Oncologists Committee carried out a Europe-wide survey about the use of adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy in incompletely resected (R1) early stage Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). The project was led by Young Oncologists Committee member Raffaele Califano and presented as a poster during the ESMO 2012 Congress. Read the report.
