Job Description

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

The Center for Global Health at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks candidates to serve as a Program Leader within the Penn Medicine Center for Excellence in Oncology - Vietnam.

The position is based in Hanoi, Vietnam however rotations for clinical service at Penn is anticipated. The Program Lead will interface with senior leaders in oncology and global health at Penn and Vinmec to plan and implement the Center strategy with an emphasis on developing clinical training and excellence in oncology healthcare provision.


Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Internal Medicine and Oncology is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students and residents. Academic Clinicians must participate in a minimum of 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching or equivalent service.
Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients on the oncology services at the Vinmec Health System and at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

The primary responsibility of the position is to guide the education and clinical functions of the Center, which is jointly held with the Vinmec Health System.
