The Department of Oncology at the University of Oxford has an opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow in Experimental Cancer Therapeutics to join Professor Sarah Blagden’s group working on the Early Phase Cancer Trials Unit.

Job Description

You will work alongside staff in the Oxford NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford University Hospitals and the University of Oxford. This post includes the opportunity to engage in a translational research project under the supervision of a scientist in the Oxford Cancer Research Centre.

Your responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient care of cancer patients being treated as part of trials performed on the Early Phase Cancer Trials Hub (EPCTU). You will also co-ordinate and execute trial activities for EPCTU, including (but not limited to) study specific investigations, sample collection and handling, data collection, case record folder completion, maintenance of study documentation.

You will have a medical degree and will be a GMC registered Medical Practitioner (or eligible for registration), with relevant and substantial hospital service, including experience of managing cancer patients. You will also have held hospital appointments in oncology, surgery or a related discipline.

This is a full-time post, offered for a fixed-term of 1 year.
