CRM Specialist

The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is seeking to recruit a CRM Specialist, based in the Head Office in Lugano, ideally beginning as soon as possible or at a mutually agreed date.

ESMO is a learned society for the medical oncology profession. The Society aims to provide its members with a range of professional services to improve standards of practice of medical oncology by enhancing the knowledge and competence of its members. The Society also provides a voice for the profession at a political level. 

Within the ITDS Department, the CRM Specialist will provide support to the business unit activities. In particular, he/she will focus on the Core Solutions, which includes the CRM solution (currently Salesforce.com and Fonteva Member Nation) as main platform and other tools required to support sales, customer relationship, and product/service delivery business processes. The CTI event management platform completes the CRM application area. Primary the role will be engaged in the service management of the current solutions as a front-office responsible, secondarily he/she will be in charge of project-related tasks based on the product lifecycle. 

The specialist will make sure that the users’ requirements are identified, prioritized, and shared with all the relevant stakeholders. Solutions are planned, budgeted, implemented, and operated in a manner that supports the goals and operational needs of the Information Technology and Digital Services department and ESMO as a whole.

CRM Specialist

Suitable applicants should possess the following 

Educational skills
  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Business administration;
  • Professional experience in office and project management;
  • Lack of education titles could be compensated by a robust professional experience: Several projects with a Salesforce.com CRM would be beneficial, especially if within multinational environments.
Professional experiences
  • Experience implementing/managing CRM systems
  • At least 3 years of directly relevant professional experience
  • Salesforce, ITIL or PMP certification is a welcome plus
  • Experience as service management is a welcome plus
Technical skills
  • Strong background in Salesforce (workflows, reporting, process builder)
  • Salesforce Apex coding understanding
  • Web architecture and content management understanding
  • Proven record of delivering results and understanding of customer service principles
Language skills
  • Proficient English - written and spoken
  • Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
