Prof. Bo Axel Nordenskjöld graduated in
medicine from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm
in 1968, earned his PhD in Tumour Biology in 1971 and was Board specialised in Oncology in
1976. He then trained in medical oncology between 1959-1968 as a medical student
at the Karolinska Institute. He was a Research Fellow at the University of
Illinois in 1964-1965, a PhD student at the Karolinska Institute 1968-1971, did his speciality
training in Oncology at the Karolinska Hospital 1971-1976 and as a Consultant
in Oncology at the Karolinska Hospital in 1976-1980.
Prof. Nordenskjöld was appointed Professor of
Oncology, Linköping
University in 1980 and
from June 2007, has served as a consultant at the Department of Oncology of Borås Hospital
in Linköping, Sweden.
He has published 161 articles concerning tumour
biology, breast cancer and colorectal cancer.
