Prof.
Dr. Ignacio Miguel Musé Sevrini is a medical doctor and has a postgraduate
degree in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Clinical Oncology. Prof. Dr. Ignacio Miguel Musé Sevrini is the Director of the National
Cancer Control Program for the Ministry of Public Health and Vice-President of
the Steering Committee working with the Honorary Committee in the Fight Against
Cancer since August 2005. For the past
20 years he has been a Professor and Director for the Oncology Chair of the medical
school.
He was awarded with 7 prizes for scientific papers, 3 international
scholarships, as is a founding member of several national and international
scientific societies. He is a key member of various publishing committees for several
oncology journals, and prepared more than 200 scientific papers.
Prof. Dr. Ignacio Miguel Musé Sevrini is committed to cancer planning and
early detection, particularly with the International Union Against Cancer
(UICC) evidence based publications. He is closely linked to community networks
in the field of education and cancer control. He has promoted the creation and
development of the Cancer Information and Diffusion Centre, which covers the entire
country and the National Cancer Registry. He has a leadership position (and was a Founder
Member) in the Honorary Committee for the Fight Against Cancer. Dr. Musé offers
to the committee his vision and experience on the implementation of cancer
control policies, especially from the point of view of Latin
America and developing countries. He also has access to many networks
of cancer professionals within Latin America.
