Dr. Stefan Rauh was born 1964 in Munich and graduated
from the TU München, Germany in 1983.
From 1983-1991 he was a student at the Human Medicine Faculties
of Regensburg, Munich and Lausanne Universities and in 1991 received a Diploma
in human medicine.
His Internal Medicine specialisation was from 1991-1993 at
the TU München and in 1993 at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU)
Nancy, France. From 1994 to 1998 at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL),
Luxembourg and 5 years of this formation took place in haematology and oncology
departments.
He obtained his Doctorate's dissertation (TU München),
German Board Recognition of Internal Medicine in 1998.
Since 1999 Dr. Stefan Rauh is an affiliated physician
for Internal Medicine/Oncology at the Hôpital Princess Marie Astrid Centre
Hospital, Emile Mayrisch Differdange/Esch Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
During this time he established a
new oncology unit with outpatient facilities and an officially recognised
palliative care unit.
Dr.
Stefan Rauh is a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), European
Hematology Association (EHA), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)
and the American Societ of Hematology (ASH).
He is also a co-founding member of
the Société Luxembourgoise d'Oncologie (SLO) and of the Federation
Luxembourgoise des Etablissements de Soins Palliatifs (FLESP), member of the
National Committee of Oncologic Treatment's Advisory Board, member of the
Scientific Committee of the National Center of Radiation Therapy Centre
François Baclesse and of the National scientific Committees of PET scanning.
