Since 2003, Dr. Zanete Zvirbule founding member
and Chairman of the Section of Medical Oncologists of Latvia.
She
has a medical degree from the Riga Medical Institute and was board certified in
Medical Oncology in 1995. She has published articles and abstracts and has
delivered papers at local and international meetings and congresses. She is a member of several national and
international oncological societies like the Latvian Society of Oncologists, the
Latvian Medical Association, and the European Society for Medical Oncology
(ESMO).
Dr.
Zvirbule works as full time medical oncologist in the Latvian Oncology
Center, Department of
Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology and at the Patient Department of Medical
Oncology.
For the past 10 years she
has been involved in clinical research nationally and internationally (as
principal investigator of the center) with multicentre co-operative clinical
trials in Europe. Major areas of interest are
breast and ovarian cancers.
