Dr. Rosti is the
Director of Medical Oncology in Treviso
Hospital (North Eastern
Italy).
His main areas of
interest are germ cell tumors, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and
educational projects.
Dr. Rosti worked in Ravenna (Italy)
in Medical Oncology from 1980 until 2007. In July 2007 he was appointed Director
of Medical Oncology in Treviso and has been involved
in educational projects (ESMO and non-ESMO supported in Romania and Georgia) and still has links with
these two countries.
He took his first ESMO
Examination in 1989 and since the eighties he is an active ESMO member. He has been a member
of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) since 2001 and has been the
Chairperson of the AIOM International Scholarship Project.
Dr. Rosti has been
involved in high-dose chemotherapy in solid tumors from 1994 until 2007, which
for years has been his first field of interest. Dr. Rosti has also been the Chairperson
of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and the
Italian Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation (GITMO).
At the moment his
scientific interest is germ cell tumors and he serves as President of the Italian
Germ Cell Cancer Group (IGG).
