Dr. Gerasimos
Aravantinos is a medical oncologist and his main fields of
interest are gynecologic, genitourinary cancers,
breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers and supportive oncology.
Dr. Gerasimos
Aravantinos is a full member and currently Vice-President (2005
to date) and former General Secretary (1999-2005) of the Hellenic Society of
Medical Oncology (HESMO).
He is a member of several national
and international oncological societies: Certified Member of the European
Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO); Full member of the American
Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO); Full member of Balkan Union of Oncology (B.U.ON).
He is also the former President of the
Scientific Committee of Hellenic Cooperative Oncology Group, (1999-2005); and member
of the Scientific Committee of Hellenic Cooperative Oncology Group since 1999.
Dr. Gerasimos
Aravantinos has a MD degree from the University of Athens,
Greece. For the past 20 years he has
been involved in clinical research nationally and internationally with the Hellenic Cooperative
Oncology Group. He has delivered lectures at many
local and international meetings and congresses and has published more than 100
peer-reviewed full papers.
