Dr. Lubos
Petruzelka received his medical degree and doctoral degree at the First Medical
Faculty of Charles University in Prague.
Currently, Dr. Petruzelka is a Professor of Medicine and Oncology and Head of
the Department of Oncology at the Charles
University, 1st Medical Faculty, Prague and also Head of the Institute of Radiation
Oncology, Faculty Hospital Bulovka.
Dr.Petruzelka is
a member of numerous national and international professional memberships, such
as the Czech Oncological Society (Scientific Secretary and member of the National
Board) Czech Society of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics, SIOG (National
Representative), CECOG (member of the Scientific and Educational Committee), American
Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Central European Lung Cancer Conference
board (CELLC), and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of
Cancer (EORTC). He has more than 80 scientific publications.
His fields of
medical oncology are clinical activities, research, pre- and postgraduate
education in oncology, and his main interests are breast, lung and renal cancers
as well as targeted therapy and new drugs.
